De Hoop Nature Reserve
De Hoop is a wondrous realm of Fynbos, Renosterveld and marine ecosystems where rare species from cape vultures to southern right whales thrive. These iconic sea mammals have inspired the famous Whale Trail – 55 km of pure coastal magic.

No day visitor are permits issued after 16h00.
Whale Trail bookings usually require bookings several months in advance.
Note: Children under 8 years old are not permitted on the Whale Trail.
Conservation fees are waivered with a valid Wild Card and proof of ID.
