ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Take the path leading from the top left side of the Rhode's Memorial parking lot. The path crosses over two jeep tracks as you head in the direction of Devil's Peak. Some way after the second jeep track the path splits - follow the right fork up and pass through the gate opening onto the main jeep track. After a few metres you will notice a very steep path on your left - that is your final push to the Blockhouse!
TRAIL TRIVIA
The Kings Block House was built in 1796 by the British as a defensive and lookout position to warn - in conjunction with other blockhouses -to the Cape Town Castle of ships approaching False Bay. It is named after King George III.
